SILAT, ANTARA BELA DIRI DAN SENI

Silat merupaka salah satu beladiri tertua di Indonesia. Tercatat kerajaan seperti Sriwijaya dan Majapahit kala itu memiliki bala tentara yang sangat cakap dalam berperang dan ahli dalam beladiri sehingga bisa memiliki wilayah kekuasaan yang sangat luas pada jamannya.

Demikian pula dengan kerajaan Sunda Pajajaran yang tercatat dalam sejarah, semua pengiring putri Pajajaran bertempur sampai darah penghabisan dengan menggunakan paling tidak 7 jurus silat yang dikuasai para pasukan Pajajaran kala pertempuran Bubat terjadi.

Pencak Silat atau Silat (berkelahi dengan menggunakan teknik pertahanan diri) ialah seni beladiri Asia yang berakar dari budaya Melayu. Seni beladiri ini secara luas dikenal di Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei dan Singapura, tapi bisa ditemukan juga dalam berbagai variasi diberbagai negara sesuai dengan pengyebaran suku Melayu, seperti di Filipina Selatan dan Thailand Selatan.

Silat sebagai olahraga

Sebagai salah satu cabang olahraga pada umumnya dan beladiri khususnya, beladiri silat merupakan rangkaian dari gerakan-gerakan badan menurut sistem dan metoda tertentu. Silat sebagai slah satu alat berolahraga memiliki cara-cara khusus dalam membina kesehatan jasmani. Dengan melakukan teknik tertentu, selain gerakan pemanasan pada umumnya yang ada pada tiap cabang olahraga, silat melatih otot-otot. Demikian pula dengan cara tertentu, silat melatih Anda menjadi lebih peka terhadap menjadi lebih peka pendengaran dan dengan lebih awas penglihatan, bila dibanding dengan cabang olahraga lain.

Silat sebagai Seni Beladiri Yang Bermutu

Pengertian seni beladiri disini jangan diasosiasikan dengan seni tari. Walaupun antara keduanya ada persamaan , yakni sama-sama mengandung unsur keindahan gerak dari seluruh tubuh yang harmonis. Kesenian itu menggugah kehalusan dan kepekaan jiwa seseorang.

Lalu dimanakah letak seninya Silat? Dalam silat yang seni bukan saja karena segi miripnya kepada tarian (dengan adanya kembangan), akan tetapidilihat dari segi harmonisnya gerakan-gerakan silat itu sendiri. Keselarasan gerakan tubuh dan anggota tubuh pesilat yang menyentuh hati si penonton, menimbulkan rasa kagum orang memandang.

Hl ini dapat dilihat pada rangkaian gerakan yang disebut “jurus” dalam Pencak Silat sebagaimana “Kata” dalam Karate. Alam pencak silat, baik yang berasal dari Jawa Barat (Ibingan), Jawa Tengah maupun dari tanah Minang, tampak adanya penggabungan seni tari daerah masing-masing dengan tipu-tipu Pencak Silat, sehingga kita lihat “Kembangan” atau “Ibingan” tadi agak mirip dengan tarian-tarian daerah tersebut diatas seperti tari “Din-Din Ba’Din Din” dimana gerakan-gerakannya merupakan saduran dari gerakan silat. Konon penyamaran silat kedalam seni tari daerah, merupakan suatu upaya para Pandeka dijaman Penjajahan untuk melestarikan beladiri silat yang diwarisi dari para guru dan leluhurnya.

Silat Sebagai Alat Bela Diri

Silat sebagai alat beladiri merupakan pengetahuan yang bermutu tinggi. Silat tidak terbatas, baik dalam melakukan serangan, maupun tangkisan. Dari kepala, bahu, siku, lengan, tapak tangan, jari tangan, punggung, pinggang, pantat, paha, lutut, tulang kering, mta kaki, tumit, jari kaki semuanya mendapat jatah latihan secara khusus. Dari ujung kepala sampai dengan ujung kaki dapat digunakan sebagai senjata terdekat dan ampuh. Menurut para ahli, air liur dan rambut pun bisa dipakai sebagai alat beladiri yang efektif.

Silat berusaha memnuhi tuntutan: “Menyerang semaksimal mungkin dengan resiko sekecil mungkin bagi diri sendiri”. Singkatnya dengan apa yang ada bisa kita gunakan untuk membela diri secara praktis dan efektif.

Silat efektif dalam hal ini adalah silat tarung dimana unsur kembangan dikesampingkan sehingga betul-betul yang tersisa adalah gerakan efektif dan berbahaya.

Silat Sebagai Alat Untuk Belajar Menguasai Diri.

Umumnya, ilmu beladiri yang baik, mendidik murid-muridnya sanggup mnguasai diri, menguasai emosinya. Demikian pula silat. Tak heran kita membaca atau mendengar ungkapan “Kalahkan dulu dirimu, sebelum mengalahkan orang lain” Semua itu menunjukkan pentingnya belajar menguasai diri. Pesilat dilarang untuk bertindak sewenang-wenang. Secara bertahap ia dilatih menguasai hawa nafsunya, karena memang yang paling sulit adalah bagaimana mengajar seseorang mampu menguasai dirinya.

Silat sebagai Alat Mengasah Kecerdasan

Disekolah dan Lembaga Akademisi kita diajarkan untuk berhitung, berpikir kritis dan berlatih untuk berpikir secara sistematis. Dalam belajar Silat kita juga diajar untuk berpikir cepat , kritis dan dinamis. Tetapi dengan cara yang khas silat. Kita harus memperhitungkan secara matang gerak-gerik lawan dan menjawab serangan lawan dengan reaksi yang cepat dan tepat. Sebab bila kita terlambat sedikit saja, akan fatal akibatnya bagi kita.

Silat Natal (Martial Art from Sumatra Coast)

ILMU BELA DIRI SILAT NATAL

PENDAHULUAN :

Terlebih dahulu kami memohonkan maaf kepada para tetua dan Ninik Mamak kami keluarga Natal atas kami memberanikan diri untuk menulis naskah tentang Silat Natal ini, naskah ini merupakan suatu konsep dimana nantinya kami mengharapkan kiranya para tetua dan Ninik Mamak berkenan memberikan bimbingan, petunjuk dan informasi kepada kami dalam rangka penyempurnaan konsep naskah ini.

Adapun yang mendorong kami untuk membuat konsep naskah ini, adalah keinginan kami untuk berpartisipasi sebagai salah seorang anak cucu keturunan berasal dari daerah Natal dan pernah mempelajari gerakan dasar Silat Natal dari Ayahanda Syofyan Mufti Almarhum di padang Sumatera Barat.

Kemudian mengingat dan merasa, bahwa Silat Natal ini sebagai salah satu aset kebudayaan sertaIlmu yang cukup langka dari peninggalan Nenek Moyang Tokoh Masyarakat Natal, kiranya perlu dipertahankan dan dilestarikan.

Disamping itu adanya kekhawatiran kami, kemungkinan sudah tidak seberapa lagi para tetua dan Ninik Mamak yang masih menguasai sejarah dan kaidah secara lengkap serta murni atas silat natal ini. Maka menurut hemat kami demi menjaga atas keberadaan serta keutuhan aset peninggalan ini perlu diadakan pengkodefikasian tentnag Silat Natal ini.

Dengan berbekal pernah mempelajari gerakan dasar Silat Natal ini dan berkat bantuan informasi serta pentunjuk dari Bapak Nadirsyah Glr. St. Iskandar dan Bapak Sutan Syarif di Jakarta, kami mencoba menyusun konsep naskah tentang Silat Natali ini dengan pengharapan kelak akan dapat disempurnakan setelah mendapatkan sumbangan informasi, petunjuk lebih lanjut dari para tetua dan Nnik Mamak yang masih menguasai /mengenal perihal Silat Natal ini, sehingga konsep naskah ini nantinya dapat merupakan suatu naskah penuh, kemungkinan naskah ini dapat dijadikan salah satu kodefikasi informasi tentang Silat Natal dan sebagai salah satu aset kebudayaan serta ilmu kenuragaan (bela diri) khas Natal, dikemudian hari kelak dapat dipelajari oleh para Generasi Muda Warga Natal.

A. ASAL-USUL RINGKAS SILAT NATAL

1. Sesepuh (Guru Besar) Silat Natal ini dikenal adalah Tuan Sech Ali, beliau in seorang pembantu utama dati Tuanku Sech Abdul Rauf yang merupakan adik kandung Tuanku Sech Abdul Fatah, beliau adalah Tokoh Utama dalam pengembangan Agama Islam di daerah natal khususnya, Tapanuli Selatan pada umumnya.

2. Silat Natal ini dan berkembang di masyarakat Natal dan daerah sekitarnya (Batahan, Kotanopan, Sipirok, Padang Sidempuan, Air Bangis, P. Tello), berkait dengan misi pengembangan agama islam oleh Tuanku Sech Abdul Fatah yang kemudian diteruskan oleh Tuanku Sech Abdul Ranuf dan dilanjutkan oleh Tuanku Sech Abdul Malik.

3. Tuan Sech Ali menurunkan /mengajarkan Silat Natal ini bersifat secara internal (khusus terhadap sanak keluarga, calon guru2 Agama Islam/pimpinan2 masyarakat) yang berjuang meyebarkan agama islam dan menentang penjajahan Kolonial Belanda dan kezaliman di Natal maupun didaerah sekitarnya.

4. Pusat pengembangan Silat Natal ini oleh Tuan Sech Ali, adalah didaerah taluak Mambang di Natal yang sekarang dikenal Kampung Perdamaian Baru, dulunya dikenal Kampung Sinunukan/Sumu. Beliau mempunyai dua orang pewaris utama Silat Natal ini, yakni yang dikenal sebagai UTIAH BANYU AMIN dan UTIH LAJIN, Utiah Lajin inilah yang dikenal sebagai NAIRAHKMAT karena kepiawaian beliau dalam Silat Natal (pernah melumpuhkan kerbau) yang sedang mengamuk yang sedang mengancam keselamatan masyarakat dengan mempergunakan gerakan Silat Natal tanpa mempergunakan senjata).

B. MENGENAL SILAT NATAL

1. Silat Natal ini bersumber dari unsur-unsur faktor alam, aspirasi, mimpi dan firasat, maka pada hakekatnya gerakan Silat Natal itu ibarat Tagak Kukuah dibatu karang, Manangkok diharimau, Malibeh Dibuayo, Manggalatiak diudang baring, mananduak dikabau.

2. Filsafah Silat Natal

o Dimano tumbuah, disitulah disinagi (dimana terjadi sesuatu kejadian, disaat itu jugalah diselesaikan.

o Nan kanai jadi sipi, nan sipi jadi lapeh (suatu sasaran seharusnya terkena serangan secara telak, menjadi tidak terkena secara telak dan selnajutnya terhindar sama sekali)

o Sipasan anak-baranak, mati ciek hiduik duo, mati tigo hiduik limo, (melambang kan suatu gerakan yang berkelanjutan secara meningkat/berkesinambung).

Dari ketiga unsur filsafat tersebut mencerminkan siafat dan asas Silat Natal itu serta makna terkandung di dalam nya, yakni silat ini merupakan suatu tata car ilmu bela diri dalam suatu perlawanan dengan menggunan tehnik gerakan secara sistematis tampa mempergunakan

senjata (tangan kosong).mekanisme gerakan silat ini akan beraksi dan terangkai secara mendadak/ber-hadap2-an,sekaligus melumpuhkan/mematikan serangan lawan tsb(semata2 untuk membela diri).-

Spesifikasi gerakan Silat Natal dangan berdasarkan ketiga unsur filsafah dan prinsip gerakan sebagaimana telah diterangkan diatas, dimana gerakan silat tersebut akan bereaksi pada saat datangnya serangan lawan/tiba disasaran, berarti terjadi posisi berdekatan/ merapat dengan lawan disertai kecepatan dan kekuatan datang/sampainya serangan.

Dengan keadaan dan posisi demikian akan semakin ampuh gerakan Silat Natal ini dalam mengantisipasi mematahkan/mematikan serangan lawan, karena pada hakekatnya Silat Natal ini sangat memanfaatkan semaksimal mungkin atas kecepatan dan kekuatan datangnya serangan lawan (system mempergunakan tenaga lawan).

Dalam mengantisipasi serangan lawan, pada Silat Natal secara garis besarnya mempunyai TIGA POLA GERAKAN :

PERTAMA : Gerakan menggelek (mengelit) serangan lawan yang datang/sampai, sekaligus mengunci/mematahkan serangan lawan tsb atau langsung menyerang balok lawan kearah sasaran yang terdekat.

KEDUA : Menyerang bersamaan pada saat datang/sampainya serangan lawan sambil melakukan gerakan menggelek (mengelit).

KETIGA : Mendahului menyerang/memotong serangan pada saat serangan lawan dalam posisi setengah jalan atau pada saat gerakan lawan melancarkan serangan (dinamakan gerakan setengah rantau ).

Ketiga pola gerakan tsb diatas, terlaksana dengan berlandasan gerakan langkah Duo, langkah Tigo, langkah ampek dan gerakan gelek (kelitan), dari gerakan ini langkah Duo dan gelek merupakan PONDASI seluruh gerakan Silat Natal.

C. BENTUK GERAKAN SILAT NATAL

Dalam gerakan Silat Natal terdiri dari bentuk KESATUAN GERAK LAHIR DAN KESATUAN GERAK BATHIN :

  1. KESATUAN GERAK LAHIR : Ialah seluruh bentuk gerakan Silat Natal secara phisik.
  2. KESATUAN GERAK BATHIN:

Seluruh gerakan silat Natal di laksanakan perasaan/naluri,dimana semua gerakan kesatuan Gerak lahir tsb menyatu dengan diri(gerakan dikomandokan oleh bathin)sehingga kesatuan gerak lahir akan terlaksana secara reflek dan membudayakan pada diri yang bersangkutan.-berzikir kehadirad ALLAH S.W.T(untuk tingkat ini mempunyai Untuk mencapai taraf penguasaan kesatuan gerak bathin ini dengan ketekunan berlatih,membiasakan diri atas kesatuan gerak lahir Silat Natal tsb dan untuk mencapai taraf kesempurnaan kesatuan Gerak Bathin ini,disamping ketekunan berlatih ialah dengan tata-cara tersendiri).-

D. BENTUK GERAKAN DASAR SILAT NATAL :

1.LANGKAH DUO,LANGKAH TIGO,LANGKAH AMPEK.-

2.GELEK(KELITAN).-

3.SIMBANG MANYIMBANG(SIMBANG UJUANG &SIMBANG PANGKA/RAPEK dari DALAM/LUA)

4.MANANGKOK/MANGUNCI/MAMATAH/MAMBANTIANG.-

5.MANINJU(PUKULAN)/MANYIKU(SIKUAN).-

6.MALAPEH TANGKOK/KUNCIAN.-

7.JATUHAN(SEPAI/DUDUAK).-

D.1. Langkah Dou,Langkah Tiga,Langkah Ampek adalah bentuk formasi berdiri/tegak(kuda2 silat) dalam menggerakan langkah pada Silat Natal pada prinsipnya telapak kaki tidak boleh terangkat,kecuali dalam keadaan tertentu/terpaksa itupun + 5 Cm dari tempat tumpuaan berdiri,bila menggeser langkah kedepan/kesamping kanan/kiri/kebelakang hanya dengan mempersotkan telapak kaki.

Maka didalam silat Natal pada prinsipnya tidak ada jenis gerakan tendangan,kecuali dalam keadaan darurat(posisi duduk/jatuhan), sebab pada gerakan Silat Natal sangat mengutamakan keseimbangan gerak dan kemantapan/kekokohan setiap formasi langkah(tegak).-

Langkah Duo,sebagaimana telah di terangkan diatas bahwa langkah Duo ini merupakan salah satu pondasi dari semua gerak Silat Natal bermula dari langkah satu(Tagak Alif),Langkah Tigo kelanjutan dari langkah Duo dinamakan langkah manyerong ndan langkah masuk ke areal lawan/mematikan perlawan lawan.-

D.2. Gelek(kelitan) juga merupakan pondasi gerakan Silat natal yang sangat berperan dalam mengantisipasi serangan lawan dan menyerang balik(menetralisir kekuataan serangan yang datang/sampai disasaran,seperti termakna dalam dalamfilsafat Silat Natal nan kanai jadi sipi,nan sipi jadi lapeh)

D.6.Malapeh/kuncian,dalam Silat Natal hal terkena tangkapan/kuncian lawan keci kemungkinan terjadi,namun gerakan untuk mengantisipasi kejadian tsb ada.

Antara Lain:

1.Kemungkinan tertangkapnya pergelangan tangan/ter kuncinya siku,gerakan untuk melepaskanya bila pergelangan tangan kanan yang tertangkap,tangan kanan tsb didorongkan kedepan kemudian ditarik dengan kejutan bersama tangan kiri dipukulkan ketangan lawan yang memegang tsb,untuk siku yang tercunci dengan cepat dan mendadak siku ditekuk bersamaan didorongkan dengan langkah Ampek.-

2.Kemungkinan terkungkuang dari belakang(kungkuang batak),cara melepaskanya:

-Dengan kejutan melontarkan kepala kearah belakang/menghentakan tumit kaki ke kaki lawan disertai dengan langkah Duo menarik dan membantingkan kepala lawan tsb kedepan,-

-Dengan mendadak dan kuat menggerakan kedua belah tangan lurus keatas disertai menggerakan Langkah Duo, berputar kebelakang dengan salah-satu tangan bergerak menyiku vertikal dari atas kebawah disertai langkah Ampek.-

3.Kemungkinan kaki tertangkap pada waktu menendang lawan pada posisi duduk/jatuhan,secepatnya berputar kesalah satu arah sambil mendorongkan kaki tsb kearah lawan/menarik secepatnya dan menyepai (menggunting) kaki lawan yang terdekat.-

D.7 Jatuhan(sepai/duduak),gerakan ini merupakan suatu gerakan dalam keadaan darurat,

Kemungkinan pada saat diserang dalam keadaan posisi terpeleset dan jatuh,maka dengan dasar langkah Duo posisi jatuh tsb seperti kucing jatuh,secara systematis serangan lawan terantisipasi disertai serangan balik(tergantung keadaan) apakah dengan gerakan sepai menggunti ng kaki lawan/menendang kearah perut/kemaluan lawan dengan posisi duduk.-

E. SASARAN UTAMA SERANGAN SILAT NATAL:

Untuk melumpuhkan/mematikanerangan lawan,secara garis besarnya serangan ditunjukkan kesasaran :

1.Pada ulu hati.-

2.Pada kedua bidang dada.-

3.pada semua persendian anggota badan.-

4.pada kedua belah rusuk.-

5.Pada pangkal leher/tenggorokan.-

6.Pada kedua pangkal telinga.-

7.Pada perut/kemaluan.-
